Most apps simply believe the value their server hands down. omni fetches the block header itself, checks the hash on your phone, and accepts the block only when it matches.
This is what an ordinary app does. Whether the number on screen is right comes down to trusting the company.

XODE omni is a non-custodial wallet — your keys live only on your phone, not our servers. And the app doesn't just trust our server; your phone verifies the chain itself, so we can't fake the numbers. XAV is a real asset you can verify directly on-chain.
The 12 words are your whole wallet, so store them safely. We don't keep your seed and can't recover it if lost.
